Sunday Worship Resources

Make Plans Beforehand.

Decide the night beforehand what time you’ll join the service. Will you be there for the 9:00 AM start or watch at a later point? Making this decision beforehand provides clarity and gives time for being ready. Decide where you’ll watch the service and make sure everything is setup beforehand.

Prepare Your Heart.

Read the passage beforehand, pray before the service begins for God to work in your heart, and make sure you don’t feel rushed before you engage with the service.

Be Engaged.

Mentally prepare yourself to fully engage as best you can during these services. Take the time seriously by fighting off distractions. Participate by praying, singing, and listening rather than just sitting back and watching. Though an online service is not as desirable as gathering together in person, choose to get as much as you can from our online services during this season, while also looking forward to gathering in person again in the future.

Establish a Plan.

For families with children, create time and space to help them engage on Sunday mornings. Are they ready to sing, pray, and listen? Do they have something to take notes, doodle, or keep them engaged? Access the Children's Ministry Bulletin for Preschool through 2nd Grade or Application Questions for 3rd - 6th grade. Parents, you can also access more activities and discipling moments through the Children's Ministry Newsletter.

Worship From the Heart.

Stand up, sing loudly, and sing from the heart. Push through the awkwardness, turn up the volume if need be, and sing to God without fear of how it sounds. Make a joyful noise, whether it sounds good or not.

Be Intentional.

Use the time after the service for reflection and discussion. If you live with family or roommates, discuss what you heard and need to apply. If you live alone, take time for meaningful reflection or find a way to connect with another friend to discuss.

Fight For Community.
